For me this is the point in their discography when they have established that they are way more dynamic that critics acknowledged. The Vol.4/Sabbath Bloody Sabbath/Sabotage run is Sabbath’s most vibrant and creative before the band ran into the weeds with Technical Ecstasy. I love that Rick Wakeman played on this album too! His contributions to the records add a lot to the already great tunes.
