Kiss - Ace Frehley (1978)

Back around 1977 my older brother somehow talked me into pooling our allowance to pick up a couple of Kiss albums that he wanted… namely Destroyer and Kiss Alive II. Kiss pretty much blew my mind at the time and definitely got me in trouble the parents of my friends back then… most of them not having to (yet) deal with bands like Kiss and the eventual rise of heavy metal. Anyway, despite all that I never really spent much time with the solo albums and just recently completed the quadrilogy with Ace’s album. Going to attempt to play all ‘em through tonight. My initial is that this album is a lot stronger than I would have expected… and heavy. I dig it.

Shout out to one-time owner Bambi, who wrote her name on the label in case anyone tried to steal it.
