I came into Soft Machine via my love for Gong’s early period and that whole wacky Canterbury scene. It took my a while to take a chance on the third album as I wasn’t sure I was ready for the jazz/fusion transformation, but it’s awesome. Too weird to be considered jazz and too jazz to be considered rock.
Not sure how many record folks out there dig the well traveled records, but there’s something kind of special to me to have the original copies, even if they aren’t in pristine condition. I like mint condition too, but if the price and condition are a good fit, then it’s great to give an old record a new home. I like the idea that this particular LP lived through the era that it was released in, was used, loved, unloaded, and somehow carried on until I found it.Someday Imfigire I’m just holding all these records until they go to on to others to enjoy someday.
