Amp is a lo-fi band and a big part of the quieter side of music I was really digging into in the 1990s into the early 2000s. They dabbled in areas of pop, psych, drone, and ambient and nearly all of it is pretty good. This EP is more on the floating ambient side of things and is a really lovely, albeit brief, release.
Original (only) vinyl pressing on Darla Records. If I remember correctly, I picked this up at the downtown San Francisco Rasputin Music (long closed down) while on a site visit to Moscone Center. Like, I was only in town for the day and managed to squeeze in a little record shopping before I had to head back to the airport. Price tag says $1.95 so of course I’m getting it. Sounds great..
