A.M.P Studio is simply an ambient leaning alias for the band Amp and this 2xLP release includes two albums. The first is Syzygy Music For Misfits And Malcontents (1998) and Alien Registration Office (2000). I’m definitely a fan of their ambient leaning stuff as well as the more psychedelic shoegaze/dream pop stuff they have released. Syzygy is probably my favorite of the two but both LPs are real nice. Using the A.M.P. Studios alias, the band issued one more CD title Unconscious Country in 2000 and Amp is still pretty much going to this day as far as I know. Digging this LP in the middle of a shit week.
Original 2000 UK pressing on Ochre Records. Got this used via Discogs and while it’s not a valuable release at all, I’ve never actually seen in the wild. Love it.
