Clark-Hutchinson was a band founded and centered around multi-instrumentalists Andy Clark and Mick Hutchinson. Tough to describe, they are part heavy blues rock, part improvisational genius, and all around weirdos. It’s all works out somehow. Take a listen if you’re looking for something different. Their second LP gets a lot of attention, but this first record is also fantastic.
1969 US pressing on Sire. Got this cheap at shop in DC because it was warped and I was ok to take the chance considering this isn’t an easy one to find. Lo and behold, it plays perfectly! Has a bit of a bowl shape thing going, but it’s so subtle that it does not affect play. Kind of shocked at how great this one sounds, honestly.
