Legend were a power trio from New Haven, Connecticut that only released this single LP and a 1978 demo which remained unheard until 2019-2020.
They have a 1970s prog feel, Scandinavian and fantasy themes, but there’s also a metal feel here and honestly, a well developed execution that just didn’t exist yet in 1979 for this kind of music. Absolutely recommend listening if you like any kind of prog or metal are looking for something fresh and unusual.
2019 40th anniversary reissue on on Greek label Cult Rock Classics. Includes the 1978 demo recordings too, on CD. My son turned me on to these guys a few years ago, like I had never even heard of them before and it sort of blew me away. He sort of had to hard push them on me too, haha! So glad to have a son with such excellent tastes who knows when to give his dad helping shove, hah.
