What planet were Saint Vitus coming from that prompted them to deliver heavy 1970’s doom metal to the world in 1984… literally the complete opposite of what was happening at the time. And somehow, what the fuck?! It works. Superbly produced by Spot, who somehow applied jazz leaning recording techniques to a bludgeoning oaf of an album. Brilliant. If you don’t have Saint Vitus in your life, you have not yet lived that life.
2008 IS repress on SST. Labels are wrong and show side 1 as side 2 and vice versa; otherwise, sounds good.,
