The full title of this album is “Children Of Doom”.
Not sure what led to Wino’s departure after V, but the band recruited singer Christian Linderson from from fellow doom merchants, Count Raven. Linderson has a good voice and fits in well enough with the band to make C.O.D. a solid slab of doom. The band have leaned into some of the slower tempos/longer tracks with this LP as well and I’m digging it. Production is on the cleaner side of things and makes for a sharper tone that most SV releases. Also worth noting that this LP was produced by Don Dokken! I have so many questions!
2019 (3rd repress) of the Season Of Mist vinyl reissue. The original Hehhound LP version of this album was a single record and omitted the last four songs present on the CD version. Season Of Mist expanded to a 2xLP to restore the missing tracks and added two bonus tracks that sound like they may be demo recordings. Fantastic release, all around.
