Norwegian guitarist Terje Rypdal teams with revered American jazz drummer Jack DeJohnette and Czech bassist extraordinaire Miroslav Vitous for a beautiful album that further expands on his unique avant-garde jazz-fusion style of playing. Rypdals’ usual collaborators are always fantastic, but both Vitous and DeJohnette bring a different style of plying to the mix that create a new feeel without getting into the weeds. Love this album.
Original 1979 US pressing on ECM. Cover has seen some action, but the LP is primo… and really the cover ain’t bad. Anyone that seeks perfection in records is missing the point.
