Random pull from the shelves tonight and pretty happy about it. It’s exactly what one would imagine if the Orb and David Gilmour got together. While it doesn’t blow my mind, it does give me much happiness, nonetheless. Really lovely collaboration of sound and music.
Original 2010 US pressing bought brand new via Amazon. Unfortunately, Amazon decided to throw it in an envelope for shipping and the cover got thrashed. LPs are still mint and it was cheap, so I kept it anyway. I try jot to buy records from Amazon these days.
Almost forgot! The LPs play at 45rpm which sounds great, but the labels on this pressing say 33, so I’ve more than once kicked this off at the wrong speed and there are a bunch of comments out there from other listeners who have done the same. Some even say the ambient vibe at the slower speed is a good experience too.
