Angel Witch - As Above, So Below (2012)

After a few false starts in the 1990s and 2000s, As Above, So Below is a successful return for Angel Witch. Not quite at the level of their first two albums, but that’s a tall order. Still, this record is pretty damn good.

This is an original 2012 UK pressing and a special limited edition of 500 on Rise Above Records. The album sleeve is housed in a slipcase and includes a poster and a 7-inch featuring a re-recording of “Devil’s Tower”. I had been looking for this album for ages and came across this copy at a shop in London called Flashback and hadda get it. Later that same trip I went to Rise Above’s London shop/label headquarters and saw a brand new copy of the standard LP release for like half of what I paid for this, hah. Go figure.
