This UK progressive folk act were absolutely bonkers. One of the most unusual albums I own that is also absolutely amazing. The whole lyrical vibe is a bit psychotic and the lyrics are grim, dark, and a bit morbid with a frenetic delivery of a madman. Musically it’s folk, but structurally, it’s almost proto-metal, even though there are not traditional metal sounds coming from the instruments. On top of this, it’s actually a super engaging listen.
2017 European reissue on Sanctuary/BMG/Music On Vinyl and it’s a beaut. Picked this up brand new in London back in 2022.
