Some changes afoot in the Enslaved camp around this time. The band have become a 4-piece with the addition of guitarist Roy Kronheim. Drummer Dirge Rep also joins the band for this album and this lineup will hold for about 4 years. Blodhemn is an odd album in that on its face it feels less progressive, maybe even a little regressive? Not sure that’s an entirely accurate statement, but it’s more an album of brutality and less about intricacies but that can be a good thing. Produced by Peter Tägtgren.
