Judas Priest - Rocka Rolla (1974)

Fired up a brand new turntable today and needed something familiar and excellent for the inaugural play. This does the job nicely. While not the sound of what most folks think of with Judas Priest, it’s not less awesome. Also, serious proto-metal credentials here. Definitely one of the most important bands in the development of metal, right from the start.

This is my 1978 US pressing that I’ve had for ages. In looking it up on Discogs, it’s crazy to think this wasn’t even issued in the states before 1978. Despite being 46 years old, this copy looks and plays like it’s brand new.
