The first Scorpions album is a serious time capsule. Most notable upon first listen is that the Schenker brothers were initially very much influenced by Black Sabbath and the riffs totally reflect that vibe. Secondly, legendary guitarist Michael Schenker! C’mon, fuckers! Like the first Judas Priest, this album is very different from the sounds the band would eventually be most known for, but it’s no less important, or awesome.
This is a 1978 Canadian pressing on Bomb Records. Despite the hilarious Schenker hype on the actual printed cover, is a great little reissue.
