The process of attempting to write about the music I listen to is giving me concerns about my tastes, hah. Norway’s Ved Buens Ende is another enigmatic band that seem to defy description. Sort of lumped in with the black metal scene, these fellas are avant-garde weirdos. Written In The Waters was the only proper album the band released before they split. Drummer/singer Carl-Michael Eide went on to form the amazing Virus where his plays guitar and songs and they released a number of excellent albums before calling it quits. Apparently Ved Buens Ende reformed in 2019 but I haven’t heard much in regards to activity.
