Agitation Free were founded in Berlin circa 1967 and developed a very rich space rock variant of the krautrock sound of the time. Malesch (they debut album) has a middle eastern flavor and is a really nice chill out LP for a quiet afternoon or evening. Not that it’s background music, because there a lot going on, it’s just there for as deep as you want to listen to it. Great band and I’d definitely recommend their first three early 70s albums to get things rolling.
2012 German reissue on HiD (Hergestellt in Deutschland). Aside from the liberties taken with altering the cover art, it’s a solid release.
