Bijelo Dugme - Šta Bi Dao Da Si Na Mom Mjestu (1975)

Bijelo Dugme’s second album is pretty sweet. Again, still very much in the vein of early 70s Uriah Heep or Deep Purple, but in their own unique way. Great sound these fellas had going, I think. The lengthy title translates to “What Would You Give to Be in My Place” or “Wouldn't You Like to Be in My Place”, surely alluding to the suggestive cover, hah. Obscure band for listeners here in North America but definitely worth seeking out if you like kind of noise (as I do).

This is a 1976 Yugoslav repress on Jugoton. Bijelo Dugme were massively popular in Yugoslavia and there are tons of represses of their stuff through the 70s to keep up with demand. My copy has seen some wild parties, for sure. YouTube link seems a little iffy but should give a good sense of how this one sounds.
