Eloy further developed their sound with Power And The Passion, unleashing a full on concept album. In short, the story is about a student who takes a drug he has found in his scientist father’s laboratory and finds himself sent back to France in the year 1358. He meets a girl and has adventures, basically. There are some bits that come across as preposterous, but it’s a good time. The album is immaculately produced and the band is absolutely amazing. Eloy may not be for everyone, but damn sure they are good for me.
1975 German first pressing on Harvest/EMI Electrola. Found this it’s follow up LP at the same time at a record show and they are both mint.
