If anyone thought that Gong’s ‘71 Camberet Electrique was to be the height of lunacy, they would be critically mistaken upon heading Flying Teapot. The band take it all to another level here; the goofiness, the insane playing and compositions… it’s bananas awesome. Do your ears and brain a favor and check this out.
2019 European reissue on Charley Records. I’ve heard that bands don’t ever see royalties from Charley releases so was trying to not buy these, but the Virgin issues are tough to come by here in the states. Sounds good anyway and the gatefold cover is nice.
