An absolute high point for 1970s space rock. This album is everything cool you may have heard about Hawkwind all in one place. Essential listening, end to end. Sadly, Hawkwind’s last proper studio LP with Lemmy still in the band. He was a deep influence on their sound that still sounds all these years later (bass tones, attack, phrasing)… a list of bassist after Lemmy in the band would reference his style even in later music.
1975 US pressing on Atco Records. I think I got this at a record show but it’s been man years. Love the gold out sleeve artwork.
