Bo Hansson - Magician’s Hat (1972)

Bo Hansson’s second album is not drastically different from his Lord Of The Rings themed debut. Sort of landscape, adventure feeling, with prog and chill passages. Like a really innovative soundtrack, but without having to adhere to the restrictions of working within and actual film. Hansson’s work won’t blow your mind, but it is highly engaging, conjuring visions of epic adventures and places unknown.

1973 US pressing on Charisma. I stumbled upon a stash of Bo Hamsson LPs a few years ago and this was part of that haul. The LO is perfect, but the cover is a little rough. That black circle on the front was the location of a hype sticker at one point, I believe, hah.
