Tea (1974)

Tea were a Swiss heavy rock band that formed in 1971 and built a name for themselves touring heavily around Switzerland and France in the early 70s. They released their first, self-titled album in 1974 and it’s a rock solid debut with some heavy riffage, fat Hammond organ sounds, and seriously powerful vocals from none other than Marc Storace, later of Swiss metal act Krokus! Yeah, that Krokus! The band issued two more LPs and enjoyed some minor fame as a preferred support act for Queen before calling it a day in 1977. As of this writing, I am still unfamiliar with the other two Tea albums, but can confidently say this one is a beauty!

1975 UK pressing on Philips. Pretty sure I picked this up at a record show, but it’s been decades. Primo copy.
