Terje Rypdal is a Norwegian jazz/fusion guitarist who has a fascinating style and approach to playing. While he often plays in the fusion space, he’s definitely a jazz guy but his playing has prog/rock vibes and his music can be really haunting. Mysterious vibes, not really dark, more like shadows and light. Unique and beautiful. Worth your time if you are not already familiar.
1974 US pressing on ECM and it’s great. Link takes you to a live version of the title track for now. Surprised I can’t find anything from this LP on YouTube.
