Not sure I can say I am a serious fan of The Cult, but I do like some of their albums quite a bit. Released in 1985 “Love” definitely falls into that category. Part 1960-70 throwback with shades of 80s LA hard rock. They would further develop this sound with their follow up “Electric” but this one establishes the intention, for sure. “She Sells Sanctuary “ was a big hit at the time and most definitely what got me interested in the band.
