I am probably one of the worst death metal fans of all time, but here I am, playing all the weird shit I get into. Privilege Of Evil is some early Amorphis when they were kicking out some brutally heavy death metal and it’s fantastic. For a band that gets a bit complicated later on, this early period is a relief of straightforward intent and I dig it.
2023 US reissue on Relapse Records. The label managed a fantastic Amorphis vinyl reissue campaign in 2023 making a lot of hard to get releases easily available on vinyl (for a time).
