Darkestrah delivers an epic slab of pagan black/folk metal with Epos. One 33min track makes up the entire album and is centered around a Kyrgyzstan lake called Issyk-Kul and the ancient folktales that surround this renown location. The album incorporates a ton of traditional Kyrgyz instruments and singer Kriegtalith delivers some amazing traditional Kyrgyz throat singing which really pushes everything up to another level. An amazing album with a few major movements and moments of quiet ambience and reflection house amongst ancient folk and pagan black metal.
