Apparently Gong had a reunion show (with Hillage, etc) that was recorded and the band planned to release on a different label. Virgin execs got wind of that and seeing they still had Gong (the Pierre Moerlen version of the band) on their label, they countered with a rush live release including some studio odds and ends on the last side. And hey, the live stuff is the classic Radio Gnome lineup from a few years back and it all pretty much smokes. Gong was awesome live in the early 70s and this is a fantastic document of that period.
UK Repress without the die-cut cover art. Sounds great.
