Towards the end kf 1977 and into 1978 Hawkwind sort of ceased to exist for a short time and the due to contractual disputes over the name (I believe). To keep rolling, Brock and company were performing in the monikers Sonic Assassins and Hawklords. 25 Years On is the music of that time and the only album released by Brock-led incarnation of the Hawklords. Despite the name change, it’s very much a Hawkwind album and fits in perfectly with the other Hawkwind releases from this era.
1978 US pressing on Charisma that I picked up at a local shop just a few years back for $2.99 and it’s perfect mint.
