Despite some crucial lineup changes since their last studio album, Hawkwind pulls it together for the overlooked, but largely excellent Astounding Sounds.. albim. Is it weird? Yes! Is it Hawkwind? Absolutely! The band has no fear of the future, even if it means their own death. Recommended.
2014 UK reissue on Atomhenge and it sounds fantastic. Most of my 70s Hawkwind stuff is original, but this one eluded me. Fortunately, this is an excellent reissue, so pretty happy about it.
