Hawkwind returns in 1979, but with an odd and sods LP recorded during different sessions over the past year or two. While some folks dump on this album for inconsistencies, I think it’s fucking brilliant. Despite being assembled from different recordings, it somehow perfectly reflects Hawkwind in 1979… fully prog, total sci-fi, and totally punk aligned, but in more of a cypher-punk vibe, but that term wasn’t really a thing in 1979. Quite possibly one of my favorite Hawkwind albums, and it’s an oddity.
1984 UK reissue on Charisma and I love it, man…
