The band’s second album with guitar virtuoso Uli John Roth and its a heavy platter of proto-metal excellence. This era of the band had brilliant balance of sharped-edged fast tracks, hard rock ballads, and prog rock tracks courtesy of Roth. It’s a unique blend of vibes and definitely one of many attributes that made the 70’s Scorpions so damn cool. Once again produced by Dieter Dierks and again, part of what’s good about this era. Smokes.
My copy here is a US “best buy” reissue on RCA Victor, probably from the late-70s or early 80s. Pretty happy with the sound, though I might try to land an early press if I came across a good copy.
