An absolute gem of a live album. The 2xLP set features three sides of Hillage and his solo band(s) just on fire! Soooooo fucking good! Side D is made up of four band new (at the time) studio tracks and they are also great. Hillage falls into the rare category of a guitarist who absolutely rips but doesn’t even care about that stuff… like the playing just emanates from their body. Hillage is this.
Original 1979 UK pressing on Virgin. What’s funny is that the sleeve on my copy also sports a Jem Imports label indicating that it was imported to the United States for distribution but I found this copy at a shop in Amsterdam, NL. Wonder if it ever was in the states? Well, it is now, hah.
