In spite of the universe putting Wire in front of me a number of times over the years it wasn’t until way later that the light switch in my brain revealed to me the incredible brilliance of their music. Pink Flag is post-punk when punk was still a burgeoning genre, it’s unique, minimalist, progressive, unparalleled. Pink Flag is where the good shit starts. I cannot stress enough how crucial this album is. Check it out and up-level the joy stats in your life..
