This is a nicely assembled and comprehensive collection of Cynic’s demos from 1988-1991, all nicely mastered for vinyl yet still raw, as they should be. The release also includes a 2-song audition tape the band made in 1991 as a bonus 7-inch and it’s all pretty much fantastic. A lot of this old stuff is progressive thrash/death metal and it’s pretty great. Maybe not all agree, but I am of the opinion that every Cynic release is worthy of your time. This is no exception.
