Hawkwind carries themselves into the 1980s, constantly changing, always Hawkwind. The band is pretty tight at this point and are working a somewhat sharper aural approach that they’ve been honing since the latter half of the 70s. Sonic Attack is overall pretty solid, if not a little overlooked in the wake of the band’s previous LP, Levitation.
1981 UK pressing on RCA/Active Records. I think I found this at the same time as Levitation and both copies are great.
