Judas Priest - British Steel (1980)

Natural evolution for Judas Priest, but holy shit they could not have timed the release of British Steel any better than they did. Perfectly aligned with the NWOBHM movement and in a lot of ways Priest shows how it’s done. This album is a motherfucking chainsaw! First LP to feature former Trapeze drummer Dave Holland who seemingly holds back compared to his early days. Iconic artwork. Killer production from Tom Allom

Original 1980 US pressing on Columbia and it’s a fucking slab.
