After a number of years of hiatus and generally keeping a low profile, Manilla Road drops their first new album in about 11 years. The band is pretty much starting over with a mostly new (recording) lineup and my take is that the sessions were completed on a tight budget. Still, this has never been a setback for mainland Mark Shelton and the performances and songcraft here are quite good. Nice comeback album from a band that has much more to give at this stage.
2022 reissue from German label High Roller Records and, as expected from HRR, it’s fantastic.
