In the wake of Tormato, Rick Wakeman left the band again, but even more devastating was the departure of Jon Anderson. While the band could have hung it up at that point, Squire, Howe, and White recruited the Buggles main men Geoff Downes and Trevor Horn. What’s shocking here is that it works! The band come roaring back with a heavier sound and an energetic approach not really heard since Fragile. Some of the delicate elements are absent, but Drama is a solid LP even though this lineup reflects a band in deep flux.
