This is a reworked version of Bl’ast!’s 1987 album It’s In My Blood. The source material is the original recordings of the album that featured guitarist William Duvall (later to front Alice In Chains). Duvall is a killer punk guitarist and fits right into Bl’ast!, so not sure why it didn’t work out, but his contributions here are not insubstantial. The mix is aggressive and brings out the heavy here… love the original, but this is also fucking fantastic! Apparently Biller Anderson and Dave Grohl were part of the remix process here, which is both unsurprising and cool.
