Dark formed in Northampton, UK back in 1968 the band had done a few studio studio recordings, but did not release anything until this album in 1972. While band name might imply something a little bit foreboding, their sound is actually a bit easier going, slightly heavy prog rock. While not a world changing LP, this album is a solid listen. The band would spit in 1973 and have released a few archival collections over the years. They did eventually regroup in 2011, but not sure what else they’ve been up to. Cool record.
1998 Italian reissue on Akarma sounds great.
