Eloy pulls of another decent album in 1984, but the world is changing rapidly and you can feel that the space they’ve inhabited (successfully) all these years is disappearing. Times change and it’s tough to see a band so consistent get squeezed out. Thst said, it’s not over for Eloy. They will take about four years before releasing another album, but the band does carry forward and continues to make good music. For my Eloy vinyl collection, this is all I have (so far). Metromania is a great album though. Very 80s sounding production, but there’s some deep grooves and space vibes throughout that feel like Eloy through and through.
1984 UK pressing on Heavy Metal Worldwide. Literal just picked this copy up last week in Spain and it’s great!
