This in an archival release made up of early Hawkwind live recordings circa 1970-72 and while it’s a rough and raw production of questionable legitimacy, I cannot for a moment discount the excellent performances on this 2xLP set. This is the first of MANY questionable Hawkwind live and studio releases which will flood the band’s discography for decades from this point onward. Some are excellent, others are abominations. This one is a little of both.
1983 UK pressing on Illuminated Records. Nabbed this at a place called Swordfish Rwcords in Birmingham, UK and I have only a vague memory of this adventure.
