I enjoy digging into a lot of old 60s and 70s rock and there are a TON of overlooked gems out there. Some bands made just an album or two and vanished, other carved out accomplished and lengthy careers, never to break into the wider public consciousness. German band Murphy Blend falls into the former category having just released a single album before splitting up. Their sole LP “First Loss” is a great platter of heavy blues, psych, and heavy rock. It’s a one-off, but totally worth checking out.
2009 reissue on Greek label Missing Vinyl and it’s an excellent sounding release. Perfect in many ways.
