Whiplash was on a hot streak and other late 1980s. Insult To Injury retains the same lineup as Ticket To Mayhem, but adds vocalist Glenn Hansen with guitarist Tony Portaro stepping away from the mic for this release. Hansen is a good enough singer, honestly, and the band is definitely leaning towards that Metallica/Anthrax vibe of accessibility at this point, and it’s good… just not as good as the chaos they’ve unleashed previously. Still better than most.
1989 US gold stamped promo copy on Roadracer Records. Found this at Academy Records in NYC, because… of course! Sounds great!
