For all the handful of substandard live Hawkwind albums to drop in the 1980s before this, its a welcome surprise to lay one’s ears on a this substantial 2xLP live document of the band killing it in 1985-86. Definitely Hawkwind of the 80s era, but hot damn it sounds great!
1986 US pressing on GWR/Profile Records. I picked this up at a place called The Diskery in Birmingham, England of all places while on a work gig. It was literally across the street from the hotel I was staying so of course I picked up some good stuff. Funny that it’s a US pressing…
