Melvins - Ozma (1989)

Another masterpiece by the Melvins. The band went through some changes between Gluey Porch Treatments and Ozma… Original bassist Matt Lukin was dismissed and the band relocated to California and brought in bassist Lori Black aka Lorax, and also the daughter of Shirley Temple. The album, while notably different from GPT is quite excellent and Lori’s bass playing is a key part of what makes this one so damn good! Cool times! Excellent music!

2018 US pressing on Boner Records. My only complaint is that this does not include the band’s cover of Candy-O by the Cars (is present on the CD), otherwise, zero complaints.
