Flowers Of Evil is a single LP made up of brand new studio tracks on side A and live material recorded at the Fillmore East (also in ‘71). It’s a nice little album but doesn’t stand out a ton amongst the band’s 70s albums. Still, it does have a nice sound and I really can’t find any fault with it. Early Mountain simply had a pair of incredibly notable albums preceding this.
1971 US pressing on Windfall Records/Bell Records. This was pretty crackly when I first picked it up, but seems perfectly quiet after a couple of rounds in ultrasonic cleaner.
