Wakeman’s next effort is a bit of a shift to a more rock opera sound and goes bold by concocting an alternate tale of humanity’s evolution, even if not entirely successful. Pretentious and cheesy, but still enjoyable for at home listening, hah. Some great playing, of course.
1976 US pressing on A&M Records. Stumbled across this copy a few days ago and this is my first spin. Sounds fantastic.
